By now, many will have opened presents, eaten way too much or are just trying to recuperate for work tomorrow morning. I, as is usual, have racked up another story in my barrage of stories of strange and bizarre things that have happened to me. To celebrate the day, I decided to post this video with 16-year-old David Thibault, a Quebecois who sounds pretty damn near close to the best Elvis impersonation I’ve ever heard. He was first found on a radio station where he performed for listeners a pretty impressive interpretation of “Blue Christmas.” I’m not much of an Elvis fan but you’ve got to admit the pretty uncanny resemblance in the voice.
He was invited to perform on the Ellen Degeneres Show where it still seemed incredible how such a voice can emanate from a kid that young.
His passion for Elvis comes from his grandfather, who was a huge fan and it makes me think how wonderful it is to have such positive influences and to allow for such talent to grow.
Kudos to all of you who inspire! Hope you all had a phenomenal Christmas and have a very happy New Year!
