There is something beautiful about laughter.
And being able to laugh at yourself is a sign of a healthy opinion and mindset.
I’m a big fan of Graham Norton and he’s had a bevy of guests grace his couch. One evening, he had John Cleese of Monty Python fame and Lee Mack, British comedian, on.
I think the greatest compliment as a comedian is making another comedian laugh. Mack tells of his first time on stage and completely bombing. You have to really love what you do to want to get back up and continue after bombing like that.
And sometimes, not all of us have the mettle or character to do so.
As F. Scott Fitzgerald once said, “Action is character.”
Do something you’ve never done before and have always wanted to do. What’s the worst that can happen?
